Samatvam is a thoughtfully designed 3BHK residence located in Hiranandani Estate, Thane, that beautifully captures the essence of harmony between earthy elegance and contemporary sophistication. Designed by ANS Design House under the vision of Shivangi Shahane Phanse and Amit N. Phanse, the home is a refined expression of warmth, tranquillity, and modern living.

The design language revolves around a curated palette of natural materials including rich veneers, teakwood, rattan, and subtle wallpapers. These elements come together to create a textured yet minimal aesthetic that feels both inviting and sophisticated. Each space within the home is carefully crafted to maintain a cohesive narrative while offering its own unique identity.

The living room sets a serene tone with silk fabric panelling behind the television, adding softness and contrast to the dominant wooden textures. Concealed doors and recessed niches ensure a clutter-free visual flow. A beautifully designed mandir niche, featuring a backlit Om panel and arched wooden detailing against a rattan wallpaper backdrop, becomes a spiritual focal point. The seating arrangement, anchored by a plush white sofa and complemented by contemporary artwork, enhances the room’s elegance. Extending outward, the balcony offers a tranquil retreat with greenery and a wicker swing, seamlessly blending indoor comfort with outdoor calm. The adjoining bar unit, defined by its arched glass doors, connects effortlessly to the dining area, where floral wallpaper with tribal motifs introduces rustic charm.

The study room is designed as a multifunctional space, combining practicality with refined aesthetics. A concealed Murphy bed allows it to transform into a guest room, while a floating wooden desk adds vintage character. A plush blue sofa, wooden blinds filtering natural light, and indoor plants create a calming and productive environment. Pendant lighting and floating shelves further enhance usability while maintaining a clean design.

The children’s bedroom strikes a balance between playfulness and functionality. A floating desk in muted grey with blush pink accents creates an engaging study zone, while arched cabinetry and open shelving provide ample storage. A retractable step mattress allows flexibility, transforming the room into a play area during the day and a comfortable sleeping space at night. The wardrobe, with curved detailing and sculptural handles, adds a touch of sophistication while maintaining a lively and creative atmosphere.

In contrast, the master bedroom serves as a serene sanctuary. A plush upholstered bed is set against sepia-toned wallpaper that evokes a calming landscape. Earthy tones are complemented by carefully selected furniture pieces, including a sleek wooden chest and a sculptural mirror that acts as an artistic focal point. The rattan-finished veneer wardrobe reinforces the home’s natural design language while maintaining a contemporary edge.

The overall design approach is deeply rooted in the client’s vision of warmth and a strong connection with nature. A neutral base palette of whites and beiges is enriched with materials like wood, marble, veneer, and rattan, layered with soft textiles to create depth and comfort. Features such as camouflage doors enhance seamlessness, while indoor greenery introduces freshness and life into the interiors.

One of the standout highlights is the bar unit near the dining area, which combines wood, glass, and tile finishes in an elegant arched form. It acts as both a functional feature and a striking design element, embodying the project’s balance of tradition and modernity.
