PM Modi to Tour Europe in May, Trade, Energy and Global Partnerships on Agenda.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a week-long Europe visit from around May 18, focusing on strengthening trade, investment, defence and energy cooperation amid rising global economic uncertainties linked to conflicts in West Asia. The visit may also include a stop at the Vatican City, where a meeting with Pope Francis is likely. Modi will begin his tour in Norway, attending the India-Nordic Summit in Oslo with leaders of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, focusing on green energy, climate action, innovation and Arctic cooperation. He will then visit the Netherlands, a key partner in water management, agriculture and semiconductors. The tour also includes Modi’s first bilateral visit to Italy, where talks with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will cover defence, energy and the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor. In mid-June, Modi will travel to France for the G7 Outreach Summit.
