Sunsure Energy, Kajaria Ceramics Sign 20 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid PPA in Rajasthan.

Project to Supply 52.5 Million Units Annually and Cut 42,000 Tonnes of CO₂e Emissions.

NEW DELHI: Sunsure Energy has signed a long-term 20 MW wind-solar hybrid power purchase agreement (PPA) with Kajaria Ceramics for an upcoming renewable energy project in Barmer, Rajasthan. The project will comprise 10 MW of solar and 10 MW of wind capacity, supplying power on a round-the-clock basis to Kajaria’s facilities in Gailpur and Alwar. According to the companies, the project is expected to generate around 52.5 million units of electricity annually and help reduce approximately 42,000 tonnes of CO₂e emissions each year. With the latest agreement, the total renewable energy capacity contracted between the two companies has risen to 27 MW. The partnership builds on a 7 MW solar PPA signed in 2023. Sunsure Energy said Rajasthan is emerging as a major clean-energy hub and plans to commission nearly 2 GW of solar, wind and battery storage capacity in the state by 2028. The hybrid project will provide a more consistent renewable power supply while supporting Kajaria’s sustainability goals.
