Navin's Hanging Gardens Wins 17th CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2026

Navin’s, one of Chennai’s most trusted real estate developers, has been honoured with the prestigious 17th CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2026 for its landmark project, Navin's Hanging Gardens, located at Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam in Chennai.

The award, presented by the Construction Industry Development Council under the category of Best Construction Projects, recognises excellence in innovation, design, and sustainability. The award was received by Chandrasekar P N, General Manager (Technical), Navin’s.

Navin's Hanging Gardens draws inspiration from the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon, reimagined for a modern urban lifestyle. The project blends heritage aesthetics with contemporary architectural design to create a unique residential experience that goes beyond traditional housing.

The development stands out for its bold structural concepts and unconventional layouts, incorporating vertical green spaces, expansive terraces, and lifestyle-driven planning. A collaborative design approach involving multiple architects has resulted in a layered architectural identity, where each space reflects distinct character while maintaining a cohesive vision.

The planning process was iterative and detail-oriented, ensuring differentiated living spaces instead of standardised layouts. Sustainability remains central to the project, which is Indian Green Building Council certified with a high rating. The design aligns with green building principles, focusing on natural lighting, ventilation, water conservation, and efficient material usage.

Speaking on the achievement, Kalyanaraman, Chief Operating Officer of Navin’s, stated that the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation in residential design while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and customer-centric development. He added that the award sets a benchmark for future projects and highlights Navin’s dedication to delivering distinctive living experiences.
