Deendayal Port Authority Wins Best Non-Containerised Port Award at India Maritime Awards 2026.
Deendayal Port Authority has been honoured with the India Maritime Award 2026 in the Best Port of the Year (Non-Containerised) category, recognising its outstanding operational performance and contribution to India's maritime sector. The award was presented to Ratna Sekhar Rao at a ceremony organised by Daily Shipping Times in Mumbai. DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh dedicated the achievement to the collective efforts of stakeholders, employees, trade unions, port users, and the entire DPA community. The recognition follows DPA's recent milestone of handling a record 7,83,816 metric tonnes of cargo in a single day, while its Vadinar Offshore Oil Terminal also set a new 24-hour record for liquid cargo handling. The award underscores DPA's continued focus on improving cargo handling efficiency, service quality, and strengthening India's maritime logistics ecosystem through sustained operational excellence.
