JSW Steel forges ahead—powering profits through precision, pricing, and performance.
JSW Steel Q1 Profit Soars 158% on Strong Pricing and Cost Efficiency
JSW Steel reported a sharp 158% surge in consolidated net profit to ₹2,184 crore for Q1 FY26, compared to ₹845 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose marginally to ₹74,314.7 crore from ₹74,294.3 crore year-on-year. The company’s EBITDA stood at ₹2,576 crore, with a healthy margin of 17.6%. While capacity utilisation dropped to 87% due to planned maintenance (down from 93% in Q4 FY25), JSW Steel benefited from improved cost structures and rising steel prices.
The increase in profitability was also supported by safeguard duties imposed by the government on select steel imports, bolstering domestic producers. As the flagship firm of the JSW Group, JSW Steel continues to show resilience and operational efficiency amid evolving market conditions.
