JSW Steel Q2 Net Profit More Than Triples to ₹5,279 Crore.

Record quarterly steel production and sales drove strong performance, with operating revenue up 20.7% year-on-year.
  JSW Steel reported a 225.3% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit attributable to owners to ₹5,279 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹1,623 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 20.7% to ₹54,486 crore from ₹45,152 crore in Q2 FY26. Total income rose 20.9% to ₹54,927 crore, up from ₹45,436 crore a year earlier. Basic earnings per share climbed to ₹21.63 from ₹6.66. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly crude steel production of 7.07 million tonnes, marking a 5% annual increase and an 11% rise sequentially. Steel sales also reached a quarterly record of 7.27 million tonnes, up 14% year-on-year and 21% quarter-on-quarter. Capacity utilisation at its Indian operations stood at 88% during the quarter. Profit growth significantly outpaced revenue expansion, highlighting improved quarterly profitability alongside record production and sales volumes.
