Inox Clean Energy Completes ₹6,000 Crore Vena Energy India Acquisition.

A major renewable energy deal strengthens Inox’s clean-energy ambitions.

Inox Clean Energy, part of the INOXGFL Group, has completed the acquisition of Vena Energy India, the Indian renewable energy platform of Vena Group, for ₹6,000 crore. The transaction involves the transfer of Vena Energy India’s management team, ensuring continuity across development, commercial, technical and operational functions. Following the acquisition, Inox Clean Energy’s operating and near-operational renewable capacity is expected to reach nearly 4 GW. Its development pipeline will also expand to more than 12 GW of solar and wind projects, alongside approximately 2.5 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS). Vena Energy India brings around 1 GW of operational capacity, with another 1.7 GW of solar and wind assets and 1.2 GWh of BESS at advanced development stages. An additional pipeline includes 2.7 GW of renewable projects and 1.3 GWh of BESS. The acquisition significantly strengthens Inox Clean Energy’s renewable portfolio and supports its long-term clean-energy expansion strategy.
