GACL, CleanMax Tie Up for 160 MW Hybrid Renewable Energy Project in Gujarat.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) has partnered with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Limited to develop a 160.24 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Gujarat. The group captive project will combine 75.90 MW of wind capacity and 84.34 MWp of solar capacity to supply 100 per cent green power to GACL’s manufacturing facilities at Dahej and Vadodara. The project will be spread across four locations—Kalikanagar, Aji Dahisarda, Rajula and Ghuntu—and is expected to generate around 36.9 crore units of clean electricity annually. It is estimated to cut carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 2.64 lakh tonnes each year, equivalent to planting about 15.27 million trees. The project will be executed in two phases and marks CleanMax’s largest group captive deal to date, highlighting Gujarat’s growing role in industrial renewable energy adoption.
