Expansion to lift operational portfolio to 12 GW as integrated solar manufacturing ramps up.

Avaada Group Targets 5 GW Renewable Capacity Addition in FY27.

Avaada Group plans to add 5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity in FY27, according to chairman Vineet Mittal. The company has already signed power purchase agreements and secured grid connectivity for the upcoming projects. Avaada added 2 GW of capacity in the previous financial year, while an additional 1–2 GW planned for FY26 was deferred due to delays in PPA execution and transmission readiness. With the planned 5 GW addition—comprising solar, wind and battery energy storage systems—the group’s total operational capacity is expected to reach 12 GW by March 2027. The projects are being implemented across Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Avaada has set an ambitious target of achieving 30 GW of renewable capacity by 2030. On the manufacturing front, the group is developing a “super factory” at Butibori in Nagpur, Maharashtra, to produce ingots, wafers, cells and modules under one roof, significantly reducing dependence on imports and strengthening domestic supply chains.
