Deal lifts Suzlon–Sunsure partnership close to 300 MW, boosts C&I wind push.
Suzlon Secures Repeat 195 MW Wind Power Order from Sunsure Energy in Karnataka.
Suzlon Energy has secured a repeat order for 195 MW from Sunsure Energy, reinforcing its growing presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy segment. Under the contract, Suzlon will supply 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3 MW, along with erection, commissioning and comprehensive operations and maintenance services. The project will be executed in Bijapur district, Karnataka, where Suzlon is already implementing additional C&I projects totalling 664 MW. With this order, Suzlon’s cumulative orderbook in Karnataka has crossed 2 GW, making it the company’s largest market by orderbook. Its installed capacity in the state stands at around 1,500 MW, accounting for nearly a quarter of its South India installations. According to Girish Tanti, rising C&I demand and the need for round-the-clock renewable solutions are driving strong adoption of wind power. The repeat order brings Suzlon and Sunsure Energy’s total collaboration to nearly 300 MW across Karnataka and Maharashtra.
