PM Modi Launches ₹18,000 Crore Development Projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth nearly ₹18,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, covering key sectors such as infrastructure, renewable energy, semiconductors, aviation, and highways. He inaugurated the ₹5,700 crore Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram and laid the foundation stone for Andhra Pradesh’s first ₹460 crore semiconductor manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam under the India Semiconductor Mission. The Prime Minister also launched major POWERGRID transmission projects, including the Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone and transmission systems for renewable energy zones in Kurnool and Ananthapuram, strengthening India’s clean energy infrastructure. Additionally, he dedicated and laid the foundation stone for National Highway projects worth over ₹21,880 crore, including greenfield expressways and bypasses aimed at improving regional connectivity, reducing travel time, and enhancing road safety. These initiatives are expected to accelerate economic growth, support India’s energy transition, and improve logistics across the region.
