PM Modi Inaugurates ₹13,000 Cr Infrastructure Projects in Gaya, Bihar.                                                                                                                                                  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled development projects worth ₹13,000 crore in Gaya, spanning energy, transport, healthcare, and urban development. Highlighting Bihar’s cultural pride, Modi said the city should be respectfully called “Gaya ji”. Among the key projects, he inaugurated the 8.15 km Aunta-Simaria bridge on NH-31, including a 1.86 km six-lane Ganga bridge worth ₹1,870 crore, which will significantly cut travel time for heavy vehicles between North and South Bihar. He also opened the four-lane Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama stretch (₹1,900 crore) and dedicated the 660 MW Buxar Thermal Power Plant (₹16,880 crore). On the rail front, Gaya station’s modernisation under the Amrit Bharat Scheme and the launch of Amrit Bharat Express (Gaya-Delhi), along with a Buddhist Circuit train, were announced. Modi emphasised faster execution of projects compared to earlier governments, reaffirming his government’s commitment to boosting Bihar’s connectivity and energy capacity.
