A landmark project redefining PPP success, foreign investment, and green aviation.
Noida Airport Sets New Benchmarks in India’s Infrastructure Growth.
The upcoming Noida International Airport is poised to mark several firsts in India’s infrastructure landscape. Developed by Zurich Airport International AG, it will make Delhi-NCR the first region with two commercial airports. The project highlights strong state-level policy support, with the Government of Uttar Pradesh providing 2,700 hectares of land free of cost, ensuring financial viability. Notably, it features 100% foreign equity funding, with Zurich absorbing foreign exchange risks, while initial financing includes ₹3,725 crore debt from the State Bank of India. The project also demonstrates strict Public-Private Partnership discipline, transferring construction risks entirely to the private developer. With clean bidding, digital infrastructure, and a net-zero emission goal, Noida Airport reflects Uttar Pradesh’s transformation into a progressive hub for large-scale, sustainable infrastructure development in India.
