Storage, digitalisation, finance and policy converge to power India’s clean energy future.

Building India’s Energy Backbone: Infrastructure for Tomorrow’s Transition.

India’s energy transition depends on building resilient infrastructure as much as producing new fuels, emphasised leaders from Indian Oil, Adani Ventures Ltd (IAVL) and Dassault Systèmes during the India Leadership Talks. Captain Anubhav Jain highlighted IAVL’s role in midstream storage, expanding into greener fuels like ethanol and compressed biogas, alongside large petroleum projects at Paradeep and Panipat. COO Atul Kharate stressed balancing current oil demand with future opportunities in green ammonia and natural gas. Digitalisation is central, with automation, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and digital twins enhancing efficiency and safety. Praveen Mysore of Dassault underscored technology’s role in compliance and accident prevention, while Director of Finance Manoj Bharat highlighted financial prudence and real-time digital systems like SAP S/4HANA for transparency. Leaders agreed that India’s scale will see conventional fuels coexist with renewables, making storage, logistics, policy support and financial discipline the backbone of energy security. Infrastructure, though often invisible, is driving India’s clean energy future.
