Goa Approves ₹2,500 Crore PPP Projects to Boost Infrastructure.

The Goa cabinet has approved seven major development projects worth around ₹2,500 crore, to be executed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the move will accelerate project completion without burdening the state’s finances. The projects include the redevelopment of Junta House and Circuit House in Panaji, construction of a new Prashasan Stambh, rebuilding of government quarters at St Inez and a government garage in Panaji, along with the development of a modern bus stand for Kadamba Transport Corporation at Vasco. The execution will be handled by National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), with work expected to commence within 10–15 days. Sawant noted that if carried out directly by the state, these projects would have required at least ₹2,500 crore in government spending. The initiative marks a significant push toward modern infrastructure development in Goa through private sector participation.
