Rajasthan Wins National Award for Excellence in Wind and Hybrid Energy Policy.
Rajasthan has bagged the “Excellence in Wind and Hybrid Policy” award at the Windergy India 2025 conference held in Chennai, recognising the state’s leadership in renewable energy policy and execution. The award was presented by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, to the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL). With an installed renewable capacity of 40,407 MW, Rajasthan tops India’s green energy chart, driven by transparent tendering, policy incentives, and investor confidence. Major projects include a 2,450 MW solar park and a 1,250 MW/5,000 MWh battery storage system at Pugal, Bikaner—set to be India’s largest. Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar credited Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s leadership for consistent progress in hybrid and wind energy. RRECL CMD Rohit Gupta highlighted the state’s investor-friendly environment and commitment to sustainability. Rajasthan will host an investors’ meet in Jaipur on November 7 to attract further renewable investments.
