Odisha Clears 27 Industrial Projects Worth Over ₹2.45 Lakh Crore.

Data Centres, AI, Renewable Energy, Steel and Advanced Manufacturing Lead Investment Push.

The Odisha government has approved 27 industrial projects involving investments of more than ₹2.45 lakh crore, with the potential to generate over 50,000 jobs across 15 districts. The proposals were cleared at a High Level Clearance Authority meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The approved projects span data centres and artificial intelligence, power and renewable energy, steel, semiconductors, lab-grown diamonds, green hydrogen, healthcare, chemicals, textiles, shipbuilding and advanced manufacturing. IT, IT-enabled services and data centres emerged as the largest investment segment, with four projects attracting a combined ₹1.43 lakh crore. These include data centre and AI-related facilities proposed in Khurda, Puri and Cuttack. The power and renewable energy sector received approval for four projects with a combined investment of ₹54,287.70 crore. Two steel and downstream projects worth ₹14,000 crore are planned in Sundergarh. Additionally, the Adani Foundation has proposed a 1,000-bed multi-speciality hospital in Khurda with an investment of ₹2,150 crore.
