Najafgarh Industrial Area property offers FSI potential of up to 400%; government steps up efforts to monetise surplus PSU assets.
The National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC) has initiated the e-auction of a 5.119-acre land parcel owned by HIL (India) in Delhi, with a reserve price of ₹829.69 crore. The move is part of the Centre’s efforts to unlock value from surplus and underutilised assets of Central Public Sector Enterprises. Located in the Najafgarh Industrial Area along Rohtak Road and Shivaji Marg, the property has approximately 140 metres of road frontage and connectivity to the Delhi Metro’s Green Line. It offers development potential with a Floor Space Index (FSI) of up to 400 under applicable Transit-Oriented Development provisions, subject to approvals. NLMC recently organised a pre-bid meeting to brief prospective participants on the property and auction conditions. The sale will be conducted through an online competitive bidding process, with consortiums of up to three members permitted. Bids will be placed in multiples of ₹1 crore per acre. This marks NLMC’s third publicly advertised e-auction in two months.
