HC Extends Stay on New Allotments in Oberoi 360 North Till Sept 25.

Gurugram luxury housing project remains under an interim no-allotment order as the court reviews the DTCP decision.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has extended its interim direction restraining further allotments in Oberoi Realty’s luxury housing project, Oberoi 360 North, in Gurugram, until September 25. A division bench of Justices Rajesh Bhardwaj and Puja Chopra passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Advance India Projects Ltd (AIPL) against the Director of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Haryana, and other respondents. AIPL challenged the DTCP director’s August 17 order, arguing that it did not comply with directions issued by the High Court in its July 7 order. The company also highlighted the interests of existing and prospective allottees while seeking continuation of the restriction. The respondents opposed the extension, citing an alternative legal remedy. Following the hearing, the court continued the no-further-allotment direction until the next hearing. The order does not decide the merits of the dispute, nor does it make any finding against Oberoi Realty or the legality of the project.
