Alpex Solar Inaugurates 2.2 GW TOPCon Solar Cell Plant in Uttar Pradesh.
Mathura facility marks Alpex Solar’s entry into cell manufacturing and expands its integrated solar production capabilities.
Alpex Solar has inaugurated a 2.2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at the Kosi-Kotwan Industrial Area in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, marking the company’s entry into solar cell production as part of its backward integration strategy. Spread across around 9 lakh sq ft, the facility will manufacture G12R TOPCon solar cells and has been described by the company as Uttar Pradesh’s first integrated TOPCon giga manufacturing line. The new plant adds cell manufacturing to Alpex’s existing solar PV operations and is aimed at strengthening its ability to meet growing domestic demand. The company said G12R TOPCon technology is designed to deliver higher efficiency and power output. The expansion is part of Alpex Solar’s broader strategy to develop an integrated manufacturing platform covering solar cells, modules and EPC services. Alpex also operates in solar pumps and aluminium frames. Its manufacturing footprint spans Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with additional capacity planned across Greater Noida, Kosi-Kotwan and Madhya Pradesh.
