Brookfield to Invest Up to $600 Million in ACME’s Green Molecule Platform.

Investment will support green ammonia and methanol projects across India and the Middle East.

Brookfield has announced an investment of up to $600 million in ACME Cleantech Ventures, a UK-based entity of the ACME Group, to support the development and construction of green molecule projects in India and the Middle East. The investment, being made through Brookfield’s Global Transition Fund strategy, marks its entry into the region’s green molecules sector. The funding will support ACME’s pipeline of green ammonia and green methanol projects, including developments in India and Oman. ACME said the investment will help advance projects aimed at supplying clean fuels and industrial feedstock to domestic and international markets. The company has secured offtake partnerships with firms including Yara International, IHI Corporation, Mitsubishi Gas Chemicals, SECI, IFFCO, Paradeep Phosphates, Coromandel International and Indorama India. Brookfield said rising demand for green molecules is creating opportunities for scalable decarbonisation and energy security. ACME Chairman Manoj Upadhyay said the partnership will support the company’s ambition to develop cost-competitive green molecule projects serving markets across Asia, Europe and other regions.
