“Fueling India’s net-zero future with innovation, research, and clean energy.”
DTU Inaugurates Yogi Goswami Clean Energy Lab to Drive Renewable Innovation.
Delhi Technological University (DTU) has inaugurated the Yogi Goswami Clean Energy Laboratory, a state-of-the-art innovation hub dedicated to renewable energy, storage solutions, and sustainable technologies. Established under the Nodal Centre of Excellence in Energy Transition (NCEET), the lab aims to bridge academia, industry, and society to accelerate India’s clean energy transition. The facility, supported by DTU alumnus Professor Yogi Goswami (Class of 1969), will foster research, nurture startups, and encourage student-driven innovations to reduce fossil fuel dependency. Inaugurating the lab, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood hailed it as a milestone in India’s sustainability journey and aligned it with the nation’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. He noted that India achieved its 2030 goal of 50% clean energy capacity five years early, with non-fossil fuel capacity at 224.8 GW, including 117 GW solar and 51.7 GW wind. The Delhi government has also pledged funding support for DTU entrepreneurs to advance clean energy innovation.
