Global Ports & Shipping Summit 2025 to Chart India’s Maritime Future.
MUMBAI: ET Infra will host the third edition of the Global Ports & Shipping Summit 2025 on Thursday, bringing together leaders and stakeholders from across India’s maritime ecosystem. The summit comes a day after the Union Cabinet approved a ₹2.69 lakh crore package aimed at revitalising shipbuilding and maritime capacity, targeting 4.5 million gross tonnage, 30 lakh jobs, and ₹24.5 lakh crore in investments. Discussions will centre on India’s maritime ambitions under Sagarmala, Maritime India Vision 2030, and PM Gati Shakti, with a focus on shipbuilding, financing maritime infrastructure, logistics competitiveness, decarbonization, and workforce development. The newly announced ₹25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund and PPP models for marine infrastructure will also be examined. Industry experts will deliberate on extending India’s naval shipbuilding strengths to the civilian sector, enhancing R&D, and building sustainable next-gen vessels. The summit is supported by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and leading industry associations.
