Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood inspected key infrastructure projects in the Narela constituency on Monday, accompanied by the local MLA, education director, and officials from various departments.
The inspection began at the long-idle Narela fire station, where Sood directed officials to expedite cleaning and complete pending construction. He also ordered the deployment of one large and one small fire engine, noting that space constraints could hinder emergency access. Sood then visited Bankner village to assess land allocated for a new government school. Locals expressed concerns, stating the site—located 4 km from Swatantra Nagar—was unsuitable due to its gram sabha ownership and inaccessibility for children. He recommended selecting a more suitable location. The minister also reviewed the site for a proposed college along Singhu Border Road, evaluating its viability. Sood emphasized timely execution and community needs as central to the success of these infrastructure projects.
