Blum India Launches New Experience Centre Along Ahmedabad’s SP Ring Road

Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Blum India has launched the Index Blum Experience Centre on the Sardar Patel Ring Road stretch between Bhadaj and Ognaj Circle in Ahmedabad.

The new facility has been designed as an interactive destination for architects, interior designers, furniture professionals and homeowners, allowing visitors to experience Blum's furniture hardware in fully functional settings rather than relying only on product catalogues.

Located along the growing Bhadaj-Ognaj corridor, the centre brings a range of Blum's furniture systems and motion technologies closer to Ahmedabad's residential and design market.

Maarten de Vries Inaugurates Ahmedabad Centre

The experience centre was officially inaugurated by Maarten de Vries, Managing Director of Blum India and Regional Director of Blum Asia Pacific, along with local partner store owners Sanjay Ojha and Kailash Sarswat.

The facility has been established amid ongoing commercial and residential development along the SP Ring Road corridor.

According to Blum, the expansion forms part of its strategy to strengthen its presence and customer engagement in Western India.

Blum Hardware Solutions on Display

The Index Experience Centre features several of Blum's furniture hardware systems, giving designers and homeowners an opportunity to understand their functionality through hands-on demonstrations.

Among the solutions available at the centre is REVEGO, Blum's pocket system designed to conceal furniture and functional areas behind large fronts when they are not in use.

The facility also showcases LEGRABOX, Blum's premium drawer system featuring a smooth-gliding mechanism and slim design.

For wall cabinets, visitors can explore the AVENTOS top range of lift systems, designed to provide convenient access while allowing cabinet fronts to move upwards.

The centre additionally features SERVO-DRIVE, Blum's electric motion support technology that enables furniture fronts to open with a light touch and close with controlled, soft motion.

Focus on Ergonomic and Functional Furniture

Speaking at the inauguration, Maarten de Vries said expanding Blum's interactive network into Ahmedabad represents a strategic step in the company's growth plans for Western India.

He highlighted the region's economic momentum and demand for quality-focused furniture solutions, adding that the experience centre would bring Blum's ergonomic and intuitive furniture hardware technologies closer to the local market.

The partnership with the Index Blum Experience Centre is also expected to help the company strengthen its understanding of local requirements while making its Austrian-engineered solutions more accessible to designers and customers in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad Homeowners Seeking Better Functionality

Store owners Sanjay Ojha and Kailash Sarswat highlighted changing customer preferences within Ahmedabad's residential market.

According to them, homeowners are increasingly looking beyond standard fittings and seeking solutions that provide smooth movement, efficient space utilisation and long-term durability.

They said the dedicated Blum facility in Bhadaj would enable designers and other industry professionals to evaluate furniture fittings in working environments and understand how different systems can be incorporated into their projects.

The centre is open for direct walk-ins as well as dedicated B2B product tours.

Homeowners can also visit the facility to experience modular furniture hardware and understand how the systems function in everyday settings before incorporating them into their homes.
