Solar mini-grid leader targets 2 GW capacity and 30 million new consumers.

Husk Power Launches $400 Million Raise to Fuel 10X Revenue Growth by 2030.

Husk Power Systems, the world’s largest solar mini-grid operator, has begun a record $400 million fundraising round to accelerate its global expansion and achieve a tenfold revenue surge by 2030. Operating around 400 mini-grids across India and Nigeria, Husk plans to scale further in both markets and enter new African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar. The company aims to install at least 2 GW of clean energy systems by 2030. Co-founder and CEO Manoj Sinha said the capital raise—comprising $150 million in equity and $250 million in debt—is expected to conclude by June 2026. Husk is benefiting from the World Bank–backed Mission 300, which seeks to electrify 300 million Africans. With 70 mini-grids already running in Nigeria, Sinha highlighted the country’s strong policy reforms and massive unmet power demand. Husk also plans to deploy an AI-driven platform and is preparing for an IPO by 2029, likely in India, London, or the US.
