NCLAT Gives Supreme Housing One Last Chance to Clear Canara Bank Dues.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has granted the promoters of Supreme Housing and Hospitality a final opportunity to settle their long-pending dues with Canara Bank. In its latest order, the tribunal directed the company to deposit ₹460 crore into a no-lien account with the bank on or before June 13, 2026. This amount is lower than the total outstanding debt of ₹567 crore and marks the third chance given to the promoters to resolve the matter. The tribunal made it clear that failure to meet the deadline will result in the interim relief being vacated, allowing the resolution professional to continue with insolvency proceedings. Canara Bank had first initiated insolvency action in 2020, which was later closed following a one-time settlement that was not fulfilled. A second settlement attempt last year also failed, leading to renewed insolvency admission in May. The case now hinges on whether the promoters honour this final directive.
