TOPCon bifacial technology powers major utility-scale solar project in India.
Saatvik Green Energy Secures ₹171-Crore Order for Advanced Solar Modules.
Saatvik Green Energy has won a ₹171.45-crore order to supply solar photovoltaic modules for a large utility-scale solar project in India, marking a significant milestone for the domestic manufacturer. The order involves the supply of TOPCon bifacial glass-glass solar PV modules, a next-generation technology capable of generating electricity from both the front and rear sides of the panel, resulting in higher energy yields compared to conventional modules. The company said the order has been received from a domestic independent power producer and reflects strong confidence in Saatvik’s manufacturing capabilities and product quality. Commenting on the development, CEO Prashant Mathur said the selection is a meaningful endorsement of the company’s growing footprint at one of India’s key solar sites. Saatvik Green Energy currently operates a 4.8-GW module manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana. He is developing an integrated greenfield facility in Odisha with 4 GW of module capacity and 4.8 GW of solar cell capacity, strengthening India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.
