Supreme Court directive clears stalled projects, brings long-awaited relief to homebuyers.
Noida Lifts Sports City Ban, Revival Path Opens for 32,000 Homes.
The Noida Authority has lifted a blanket ban on all four Sports City projects, paving the way for the revival of nearly 32,000 flats after a freeze that began in 2021. The decision follows a Supreme Court directive issued in November 2025, which asked the Authority to allow developers to submit revised layouts after irregularities were flagged by a CAG audit. The breakthrough came with the approval of a revised plan for Lotus Greens’ Sports City in Sector 150, unlocking registrations for 8,000 occupied homes and restarting construction of over 12,000 pending units. The order also enables other developers—Xanadu Estate, Logix Infra and ATS Homes—to seek fresh approvals by submitting revised plans. Together, the four projects span nearly 800 acres and owe the Authority over ₹11,000 crore. Industry body Credai termed the move a major relief for thousands of buyers awaiting possession and registrations for years.
