UP Energy Expo Showcases Solar Growth and AI-Led Power Systems.

Strategies to scale solar adoption and fast-track Uttar Pradesh’s clean energy transition dominated discussions at the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 in Lucknow on Friday. Policymakers, industry leaders and clean-tech firms explored opportunities across rooftop solar, utility-scale solar parks, agrivoltaics and AI-driven energy management systems, reflecting the state’s ambition to become a major clean energy hub. The three-day event is jointly organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UP chapter) and FirstVIEW, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency, Invest UP and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. Key sessions focused on financing utility-scale solar parks, expanding rooftop solar under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and integrating solar with agriculture through PM-KUSUM. Abhilash Borana, CEO of Sigenergy India, highlighted the convergence of solar, storage, AI and EV charging into unified smart platforms. Varun Gulati noted that clean energy is now a necessity. The expo drew nearly 7,000 visitors, signalling strong interest in sustainable technologies across Uttar Pradesh.
