Tata Communications Acquires 26% Stake in Clean Max Renewable Energy SPV.

Tata Communications has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 26 per cent equity stake in Clean Max Yuhdul, a special purpose vehicle focused on renewable energy generation. The investment aligns with Tata Communications’ strategy to increase the use of clean energy across its offices in Karnataka and advance its carbon neutrality objectives. As per a regulatory filing, Tata Communications will purchase 2,600 equity shares from Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions for a total cash consideration of ₹26,000, at ₹10 per share. The agreement was executed on Friday. Incorporated in October 2025, Clean Max Yuhdul operates in the solar and wind power segment but has yet to commence operations and has no reportable financials. Tata Communications said the renewable power generated will be used for captive consumption, improving energy cost efficiency while expanding its renewable energy footprint in Karnataka and supporting its long-term net-zero commitments.
