Haryana RERA Grants Four-Month Relief to Real Estate Projects Affected by West Asia Crisis.

Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (H-RERA), Gurugram, has granted an automatic four-month extension for eligible real estate projects impacted by disruptions caused by the ongoing West Asia crisis. The extension applies to projects whose original, revised, or extended completion deadlines fall on or after February 28, 2026, provided they were registered on or before July 31, 2026. The authority cited severe global supply chain disruptions and shortages of construction materials, with the Ministry of Finance recognising the situation as a force majeure event. Developers are not required to submit separate applications to avail of this relief. Issued under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, and based on the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs advisory dated July 31, 2026, the decision provides developers with additional time to complete projects while maintaining construction quality and addressing challenges arising from geopolitical instability.
