First wind collaboration between Suzlon and Waaree strengthens India’s renewable energy expansion.

Suzlon Wins 201.6 MW Wind EPC Order from Waaree Group in Andhra Pradesh.

Suzlon Energy has secured a 201.6 MW wind power EPC contract from Waaree Forever Energies Pvt. Ltd., the independent power producer (IPP) arm of the Waaree Group, for a project in Andhra Pradesh. Executed under Suzlon’s DevCo model, the project marks Waaree’s first wind energy venture and its maiden DevCo-led project. Suzlon will install 64 units of its flagship S144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW, taking its Andhra Pradesh order book close to 1 GW. The company will provide an end-to-end EPC solution, including land acquisition, turbine supply, Balance of Plant (BoP), commissioning, and lifetime operations and maintenance services. Suzlon said integrated DevCo execution helps accelerate project delivery while reducing development risks. Waaree described the project as a major milestone in its clean energy strategy and a foundation for a long-term partnership to support India’s renewable energy goals.
