Brigade Group Signs JDA for 8.63 Acres, Unlocks 39-Acre Township in East Bengaluru

Brigade Group has announced the signing of a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for an 8.63-acre land parcel in Gunjur, East Bengaluru, marking a significant step toward the development of a large 39-acre integrated residential township in the high-growth Whitefield–Sarjapur corridor.

The proposed 39-acre township is primarily planned as a large-scale residential development with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of approximately ₹7,200 crore. The overall land assembly for the project is being executed through a mix of outright land purchases and joint development agreements, with the latest JDA acting as a key trigger for advancing the master-planned project.

The Whitefield–Sarjapur corridor continues to emerge as one of Bengaluru’s most attractive residential micro-markets, supported by strong infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and proximity to major employment hubs. This makes it a preferred destination for both end-users and investors.

Commenting on the development, Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited, stated that the agreement strengthens the company’s residential pipeline in East Bengaluru and enables progress on a large integrated township. She highlighted Brigade’s focus on delivering well-planned communities with an emphasis on quality, scale, and long-term liveability.

The township is expected to feature multi-generational residential offerings, including senior living spaces, along with thoughtfully designed amenities and convenience infrastructure aimed at creating a future-ready residential ecosystem.
