World of Concrete India Brings Global Expertise and Green Solutions to India's Construction Sector

Mumbai, 9th October 2025 — The 11th edition of World of Concrete India 2025, a premier platform for the concrete and construction industry, commenced today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Organised by Informa Markets in India, the three-day expo (October 8–10) features over 350 leading brands, 250 exhibitors, and more than 14,000 trade visitors. With strong international participation from Korea, China, the USA, Spain, and the German Pavilion, the event highlights global innovation, sustainability, and growth opportunities in the sector.

The inauguration was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Brijesh Dixit (MSIDC), Mr. Amar Choudhary (1Lattice), Mr. Thomas Guillot (GCCA), Mr. Somenath Ghosh (CEAI), Shri Rajendra Singh Kamboh (BAI), Dr. Vishal Ramesh Thombare (BMC), and senior leadership from Informa Markets in India.

Dr. Brijesh Dixit highlighted the importance of addressing knowledge gaps in concrete technology, while Dr. Vishal Thombare detailed Mumbai’s advancements in concrete roads and materials resilient to the city’s harsh weather conditions. Mr. Somenath Ghosh from CEAI emphasized the consulting sector’s ₹90,000 crore contribution, focusing on design innovation and regulatory compliance.

 

Mr. Amar Choudhary discussed the rising role of AI, digital twins, and carbon capture technologies in redefining durability and efficiency. He projected ready-mix concrete usage to rise from 25% to 50% in the coming decade, aligning India’s infrastructure growth with global sustainability goals.

Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, noted that with cement contributing nearly 6% of India’s emissions, sustainable construction is essential. The Indian green cement market is expected to grow from USD 2.31 billion to USD 3.28 billion by 2029. Mr. Rajneesh Khattar added that landmark projects like Navi Mumbai International Airport and Metro Line 3 are shaping India’s next era of urban design and sustainability.
