Nitin Gadkari Lays Foundation for 17 Highway Projects in Odisha

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday unveiled 19 national highway projects worth ₹14,137 crore in Odisha.

At an event in Bhubaneswar, he laid foundation stones for 17 projects and inaugurated two completed highway sections. The projects include construction and widening of roads across Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh districts, covering 105 km, at a cost of ₹12,905 crore. Additionally, four bridges worth ₹227 crore, totaling 4.82 km in length, will be built on the Berhampur-Gopalpur and Rourkela-Biramitrapur highways under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund. Gadkari also inaugurated 44 km of completed stretches on NH-59 and NH-130CD, constructed at a cost of ₹841 crore, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and infrastructure.
