Transforming old colonies into modern Mumbai, one cluster at a time.
Big Developers Battle for MHADA’s 206-Acre Mumbai Redevelopment Push.
Mumbai’s large-scale redevelopment drive has attracted top real estate players, with Adani Properties, Reliance 4IR Realty Development, Lodha Developers and JSW Realty & Infrastructure submitting bids to redevelop three major housing colonies spanning over 206 acres in Mumbai. The projects, overseen by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority, cover prime locations at Adarsh Nagar in Worli, Bandra Reclamation, and SVP Nagar in Andheri West. We opened technical bids on Tuesday and will evaluate them based on financial strength, experience, and eligibility norms before inviting financial bids. Implemented under MHADA’s Construction & Development Agency (C&DA) model, the projects include rehabilitation of existing residents, rent compensation during transit, and corpus funds for maintenance. Once completed, they are expected to deliver modern housing, improved civic infrastructure, and sustainable urban planning, benefiting thousands of families and contributing significantly to Mumbai’s long-term urban transformation.
