UP GCC Policy Targets 2 Lakh Jobs with Incentives for Global Firms

The Uttar Pradesh government's GCC Policy 2024 aims to transform Noida, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Varanasi into tech hubs by attracting Fortune 500 companies and boosting FDI.

The policy targets over 2 lakh high-paying jobs in five years. It offers special incentives, including land and capital subsidies, SGST reimbursement, payroll support, and interest subsidies to reduce setup costs. Companies establishing Level-1 GCCs need to invest Rs 15-20 crore and employ 500 people, while Advanced GCCs require Rs 50-75 crore and 1,000 employees. Custom packages are available for Fortune 500 companies and those with significant FDI. The policy also supports innovation with reimbursements for startup ideation and IP rights, strengthening UP's $1 trillion economy goal.
