India Sees Surge in Solar Searches: 173% Rise in Dealer Queries, 100% in Cleaning Services.                                                                                                              

India is witnessing a sharp surge in consumer interest in solar energy solutions, with online searches for solar panel dealers rising 173% year-on-year (YoY) and 77% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) during April–June 2025, according to Justdial data. Delhi and Patna led the trend with an 11-fold YoY spike in searches, while Patna also recorded a 19-fold quarterly jump. Indore posted 197% YoY growth and a threefold QoQ rise, and Jaipur saw a 109% surge in quarterly searches. Pune reported a 133% increase YoY and 53% QoQ, while other cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow also contributed to the growth. Searches for solar panel cleaning services doubled nationwide, with Delhi (+92%), Lucknow (+77%), Ahmedabad (+63%), and Vadodara (+43%) showing the highest demand. The spike aligns with India’s expansion of solar PV manufacturing capacity to 100 GW in 2025, supported by PLI schemes, underscoring the nation’s accelerating shift to clean energy.
