UP Accelerates Green Energy Push, Eco-Friendly Industries: Minister Nandi.

Uttar Pradesh is steadily advancing towards green energy and eco-friendly industrial development, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ said at the 5th Green Energy and Sustainability Conclave organised by ASSOCHAM on Friday. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has emerged as a major destination for investment and industrial growth. Highlighting policy measures, the minister said the new solar policy has significantly strengthened the renewable energy sector by offering incentives such as 100 per cent stamp duty exemption for solar power projects and a complete waiver on electricity charges for 10 years. These measures have helped attract large-scale investments in green energy. Nandi emphasised that the double-engine government is committed to providing end-to-end support to investors and entrepreneurs, creating a conducive ecosystem for sustainable industries. He also noted that Uttar Pradesh has transformed from a pre-2017 era of corruption into a model investment state, with upcoming projects worth nearly ₹16 lakh crore reflecting tangible progress.
