Renewable Energy at Core of MP’s Growth Strategy, Says CM at Davos.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted renewable energy as the backbone of the state’s development strategy during a roundtable discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Participating in his first WEF meeting, the CM said clean, affordable and reliable energy is central to Madhya Pradesh’s inclusive and sustainable growth. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for inspiring the state’s rapid transition towards green energy and noted that better inter-state coordination has improved power and water stability for consumers and industries alike. Yadav also shared updates on ongoing and upcoming solar and energy storage projects. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi reiterated the Centre’s commitment to policy stability, praising Madhya Pradesh as a reform-oriented state whose solar achievements deserve global recognition. He highlighted the state’s success in de-risking clean energy through coordinated land, labour and power policies. The roundtable also discussed a draft framework to attract private investment, with global investors seeking clarity on policies, green power availability and emerging technologies such as data centres.
