Jindal Stainless and Amida Cleantech Launch ‘Sanjeevan’ Air Purification Project at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham

New Delhi, Hisar, Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi – 15 February 2026:
Jindal Stainless, India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, has launched its largest CSR initiative titled ‘Sanjeevan’ at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham (SKVD) in Varanasi. The project is being implemented in collaboration with Amida Cleantech Private Limited (AMIDA) to deploy advanced indigenous ambient air purification systems at the SKVD Ramp Building near the historic Manikarnika Ghat.

Aligned with the National Clean Air Programme by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the initiative aims to significantly improve ambient air quality in the temple corridor and surrounding areas.

The project deploys AMIDA’s patented ACE+ (Attract, Capture, Eliminate) technology, which neutralises airborne pollutants including nano-black carbon, particulate matter (100 nm to 50 microns), pollens, organic matter, vehicular emissions such as SOx and NOx, and microbial contaminants including viruses and bacteria.

A total of 58 stainless steel air purification units will be installed, achieving a cumulative purification capacity of over 3,00,000 cubic meters per hour. The system is designed to capture emissions from cremation activities at Manikarnika Ghat and reduce particulate matter levels along the temple access corridor, ensuring healthier air for pilgrims, residents, and temple authorities.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, emphasized the company’s commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable innovation. The collaboration reflects support for indigenous clean air technology while delivering tangible environmental impact.

AMIDA highlighted that its globally patented ACE+ technology has been validated by apex government bodies including NITI Aayog and has been successfully deployed across public infrastructure, transport hubs, heritage sites, and urban outdoor environments in India and internationally.

This initiative represents a major step toward sustainable environmental management at one of India’s most revered spiritual landmarks, reinforcing Jindal Stainless’ vision of a greener and healthier future.
