Mahindra Logistics Leases 4.75 Lakh Sq Ft Warehouse in Kolkata to Strengthen Eastern India Network

Mahindra Logistics Ltd has leased a 4.75 lakh sq ft Grade-A warehouse in Subharara, Howrah, near Kolkata, marking one of the largest logistics lease deals in eastern India. The long-term lease, effective from April 1, 2025, spans 9 years and 9 months with a monthly rent of ₹97.72 lakh and a 49% annual rent escalation. This strategic expansion will boost Mahindra Logistics’ operations across West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, and the Northeast regions, witnessing rapid growth in e-commerce, FMCG, and industrial distribution. The Howrah location offers excellent connectivity to National Highways, Haldia Port, and the eastern freight corridor, strengthening last-mile delivery capabilities. As eastern India emerges as a logistics hotspot, this move underlines Mahindra Logistics’ push to expand its national footprint and cater to the rising demand for modern, scalable, and compliant warehousing infrastructure.
