Delhi Development Authority plans mixed-use and housing projects near metro lines to boost urban living and reduce NCR migration.
DDA Identifies TOD Plots Along Metro Corridors for Affordable Housing.
The Delhi Development Authority has identified 14 land parcels across Delhi for affordable housing and mixed-use projects under its Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) policy. Spread over more than 3.6 lakh square metres, the sites are located along the Blue, Red, Green, Pink, and Yellow metro corridors to encourage urban living close to public transport. Key locations include Karkardooma, Dwarka, Rohini, Peeragarhi, and Dilshad Garden. Major parcels include a 76,251sqm site near Kailash Deepak Hospital in Karkardooma and a 1.2 lakh sqm commercial plot near Peeragarhi district centre. DDA will launch a dedicated portal allowing private developers to submit TOD proposals online. Under the new TOD Regulations 2026, developers can build with higher floor area ratios while reserving at least 10% land for green spaces, supporting sustainable urban growth in Delhi.
