Online Booking Opens for 518 EWS Flats in Nagpur Under PMAY-Urban 2.0
In a significant boost to affordable housing, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has announced the launch of online applications for 518 economically weaker section (EWS) flats under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. Registration will commence at 3 pm on 24th February and close at midnight on 31st March, with allotment conducted through a computerised online lottery system. The housing project will be situated at Mouza Nari in North Nagpur and comprises 210 one-BHK and 308 two-BHK flats. The initiative forms part of the Centre’s Housing for All mission led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The base price of a 1 BHK is ₹15.51 lakh, and that of a 2 BHK is ₹21.01 lakh. With a government subsidy of ₹2.5 lakh per unit, the effective cost reduces considerably for beneficiaries. The project is expected to be completed within three years.
