Winds of Change: Juniper Expands Renewable Footprint in Gujarat

Juniper Green Energy Signs 100 MW Wind PPA with GUVNL, Bags 50 MW More

Juniper Green Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat through its subsidiary Juniper Green Bess Two. Power supply from the project is scheduled to commence in July 2027. Additionally, the company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from GUVNL on July 14, 2025, for an extra 50 MW wind project, following its successful bid under GUVNL’s January 2025 wind tender. This move reinforces Juniper Green Energy's growing presence in Gujarat and its commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy goals. CEO Ankush Malik expressed pride in the partnership with GUVNL and emphasised the firm’s role in delivering sustainable energy solutions. Earlier, in June 2024, Juniper Green Kite, another group subsidiary, signed a PPA with GUVNL for a 90 MW wind project. Together, these agreements mark a significant step in India’s wind energy expansion.
