Maharashtra received a $500 million loan to enhance healthcare services, while Meghalaya benefited from a $64 million loan aimed at upgrading infrastructure in 65 secondary schools and 10 industrial training institutes, improving education and skills training for disadvantaged youth. The support targets critical development challenges across various states, aiming to boost access to quality healthcare and education. ADB’s commitment highlights its ongoing role in India’s growth journey, addressing social and economic needs to ensure more inclusive and sustainable development outcomes.
