“Seamless data, stronger infrastructure – powering India’s growth.”

Centre Pushes States to Share Non-Major Port Data for PM Gati Shakti Portal.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has urged states and Union Territories, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep, to expedite the submission of non-major port data for integration into the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan portal. In a recent communication, the Ministry expressed concern over the “slow” pace of data transmission and called for immediate action. The PM Gati Shakti initiative, developed by BISAG-N, is designed to create a unified digital platform enabling real-time data sharing across infrastructure sectors. By facilitating seamless coordination between central and state authorities, the portal aims to streamline planning, avoid duplication of efforts, and ensure efficient project execution. Once fully integrated, the initiative will strengthen multimodal connectivity, enhance logistics efficiency, and drive economic growth. The Ministry stressed that timely data sharing by states is critical for achieving the ambitious goals of Gati Shakti and building a robust national infrastructure network.
