ReNew has commissioned a 1.3 GWp solar project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, using 100% Made-by-ReNew solar panels, with 90% manufactured at its Jaipur facility.

Inaugurated by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, this is India’s largest solar project built entirely with indigenous modules. Spanning 3,500 acres across several villages, the plant is expected to generate 2,490 million units annually, powering around five lakh households. Electricity will be supplied at ₹2.18/kWh, offsetting 2.3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Local communities will benefit from 25-year land lease income. The project showcases India’s renewable push under Atmanirbhar Bharat and reinforces Rajasthan's growing role in the green energy transition.
